Mt Buller’s Ski & Snowboard School is Victoria’s largest, with over 300 professional instructors from across the globe joining Mt Buller each season and sharing their passion for skiing and boarding with guests. School groups can take part in group lessons with experienced instructors who ensure all students progress their skiing or snowboarding skills in a safe and fun environment.
Mt Buller guarantees skiing on the popular Bourke Street run from the opening weekend through to close of the season thanks to the Techno Alpin 220 Snow Factory, which can continuously produce snow 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and enable Buller to begin snowmaking in May to guarantee skiing on Bourke Street for opening weekend.
Looking for something extra, Mount Buller also has the answer with Buller Air Zone, a cinema & much more.
MT BULLER ACTIVITIESWe strongly advise that packages for school ski hire are booked early.
Skiing at Mt Buller is more exclusive than ever with the daily limit of people on the mountain to ensure everyone’s safety and appropriate accommodation.
Mt Buller is also particularly busy in peak periods (school holidays and weekends).
*To ensure your school has the best possible experience in booking your school ski hire facilities (such as, accommodation) and equipment, we strongly recommend visits take place mid-week and/or during low season. This helps to guarantee access to Ski & Snowboard School and its instructors.
What to bring?
Be prepared! Students should be equipped properly for Mt Buller snow adventures, parents and teachers need to understand that the alpine weather can change quickly, and to be prepared for any conditions (blizzards and cold winds are not uncommon in the mountains!).
Alzburg Tours and Ski Hire have a wide range of waterproof jackets, pants and walking boots available for rental that are suitable for school ski hire.
All rental prices are for the rental of a “Standard” package. This includes skis, boots, poles & helmet or snowboard, boots, helmet and wrist guards for $36 per student. We include complimentary helmet in all student ski or snowboard packages.
Add waterproof jacket and pants for the cost of $36 per student.
Please ensure that students are equipped with the following:
• Waterproof gloves, jacket and pants – Gloves & Goggles available for sale at Alzburg Ski Hire
• Long underwear and turtleneck/neck gaiter
• Warm ski socks and beanie
• Helmet (mandatory)
• Towels

Holidays now made easy for schools! Tell us what you’d like, and we can prepare an all-inclusive snow camp package. We take care of everything with for school ski hire including, transport, accommodation and ski and snowboard lessons, clothing, and meals (breakfasts and dinners).
Ask us also about ways to experience the mountain differently. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there are other ways for students to soak up alpine atmosphere. Cross country skiing, dog-sledding, Buller Air Zone, The National Alpine Museum of Australia which showcases the development of Australia’s alpine regions, or Mt Buller Cinema – the list is endless for unique adventures to make unique memories!
